Gallone
It is the measurement of liquids in America and England. One English Gallone means 4,54 litre, one American Gallone is 3.78 litre.

Mostly used to describe that the Portwine comes from privat storage or that it is of better quality.
Gay-Lussac-Grade
Is a measurment of the amount of alcohol in France. The statements are similar with just small differences to the German Vol.-%.
German Whisky
The production of German Whisky is similar to the one of Scottish Blended Whisky. Grain Whisky from German grains blended with Scottish Malt Whisky and afterwards it is stored in oak barrels. German Whisky is represented with mentionable shares on the German market.
Ghomme
This is the French meaning of gum, but consisting of more sugar. (mixture proportion: 1,5 kg sugar : 1 liter water).
Ginger Ale
Basis for that drink is ginger and sparkling flavoured water. It is clear and light brown. Known products of the companies: Schweppers, Carlsberg, Faxe.
Ginger
This spice is made of the rootstock of the gingerplant, which is growing in tropical countries. You can get it in white when it is peeled or black if it is not peele. White ginger is often bleached, as well and covered in lume. The smell is spicy and aromatic, the taste is hot. It is used as spice and to produce liqueurs and Ginger -Ale as well as Ginger -Beer.
Golden Fresh - Austria
Made of apples, sugar and ginger and a bit of sparkling flavoured water. Product of the family Schweppers, Oberalm/ Salzburg.
Gomme sugar
Gum is sugared syrup, made of crystallized sugar (1,5 kg) and water (1 Liter). Water and sugar are heated up till it gets to the boiling point, then it will be cooled down. But you can also get it as a finished product by the Family Riemerschmid, Munich. German Laeuterzucker, French Ghomme.
Grain-Distillates
Grain-distillates are products made from grain and through distillation. To this category belong: Aquavit, Jenever, Gin, Whisk(e)y and Vodka. The last category of grain-distillates, the so-called 'other grain-spirits' are products, which base is rye, wheat, barley, oats, corn, rice, millet, negro corn, book-wheat, grain-marc or beer-marc.
